Initially dedicated by Crown Prince Olav V of Norway in 1939. Enger Tower sits 583 ft. above St. Louis River Bay. Named for Norwegian immigrant Burt Enger, who donated the land, the tower is said to mark the hilltop that is spotted first by sailors on ships coming across the Great Lakes …when they come over the horizon on Lake Superior, that tower marks their destination
